Some Behind the Scenes Housekeeping
**Our honesty policy: This post may contain affiliate links and I may be compensated if you make a purchase at no extra cost to you. Some are, some aren't--I do some comparison shopping. The important thing is you will know exactly what we are talking about. Drop a note/comment if you have any questions on the products as these are materials and tools we use on our own projects.
Thank you for your support so far! A lot of “housekeeping” work has been going on behind the scenes to make your experience even better.
I wanted to take a moment to explain the nature of the blog. The majority of the projects are from the last 10 years.* As much as I like a chronological order, some of the stories are harder to write than others. I have discovered it is especially hard to find inspiration to write about some the difficult times at the beginning of my rental remodel. At the same time, it was an important part of the learning process. It should also help you find a better way, fellow DIY’er.
I have started the blog at the beginning of my journey to give it a logical starting point. However, as time goes on, I will start skipping around where the muse guides me. To help with those of you who are chronologically inclined, like me, there is a special archive list for you here! You can also find it on the menu on the right side of the page.
For those of you who like a list of all posts with all the fluff removed and only the title (also like me), there is an archive on the right side for you too! Or right here.
In addition, there is now an official Pinterest** page. Technically there was one before, but *drumroll* now it even has pictures!
*This also means I cannot go back in time and get better pictures of the projects. So please bear with me on some of my pictorial offerings.
**Wow is Pinterest an inspirational yet scary place or what?!? I had heard of the dangers of Pintrest…hours of time lost with so many great ideas and photos of spectacular remodels. I already have a list of things I want to do and another list of how I should have done some of my past projects. Sigh. This blog was supposed to help assuage the part of me that wants to get back into a big project. Pinterest might be my new nemesis…
